Hey everyone, I'm from central PA. Just fixed up a Kinroad 300 I just happened to stumble upon through facebook marketplace. After months of research and work I took it to the trails and it was awesome. Made it through a creek that was 28 inches deep with a current. Had to replace a lot of electrical parts and suspension parts (ball joints). So far my upgrades are: 32mm Power Jet pumper carb, high flow exhaust, Uni filter, Snorkels on everything (Ram head for intake), 27" tires, Dr Pulley HiT clutch, 16 gram sliders, Yellow Spring. I have a Malossi Red Spring and Malossi xk belt on the way and I have a new CDI I haven't installed yet. If there's any other suggestions I'm willing to hear about it. I love these kinds of buggies, I never knew that they had this kind of popularity. I'm 38 but like a kid again. I almost wanna start my own company to make cool mini buggys.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like you're hitting the ground running with mods. These buggies can get addicting. They're a lot of fun, if you don't mind tweaking and fixing things.

You can have a 54 tooth rear Sprocket made to make it climb hills better ... AKA the pizza pan.... I had one made and 3 or 4 more man got one later on

How much ground clearance do you lose with the pizza pan? I have some pretty rocky terrain I have to go up and over along with some deep ruts. It's why I put 27" tires on it. With my wife and I in the buggy we did pretty good getting up steep 20 foot mounds but it does bog a little. I'm thinking the Red Spring will help and The Malossi belt is 5mm shorter and 1.5mm more narrow than the Gates 893. So my thoughts are that I might possibly get a slightly better low end. If I decide on the pizza pan I guess I can bug you about how to get one..... ?

Very cool. That's some fairly deep water. Glad to hear it's performing well. Yeah, if you are thinking of climbing a bit better, a larger rear sprocket is the way to go. Or you could go smaller on the small sprocket. Can't remember what those came with.

Very nice buggy. How does it handle those big tires?

It handles fine actually, it slowed acceleration down a little bit but after I switched to the 14 gram sliders it was like I never put bigger tires on it. Stock tires are 25 inch so 2 inches bigger isn't too drastic I don't think. I forgot that I switched from 16 to 14 on the sliders. But when I get the red spring I might go back to the 16.

Oh yeah! It’s a lot of fun! Haven’t really gotten to drive it on any significant property yet.
