Follow this link... https://pruittmountain.com/

12969 State Hwy BB, Caledonia, MO 63631

Might be cold... so Turkey Bay with the lake, no electric for heaters might not be a good choice.

I will start to search for different parks in the near future.
I will post a link as to the website with parks and the ratings.

Maybe we can find one with a cabin... anyone willing to travel to Tn to ride the Windrock? https://windrockpark.com/

There is a sister park nearby as well.
then there is this https://thenewswheel.com/4-best-off-roa ... tennessee/

Just a start.
I believe we were looking at parks in Illinois before...
https://offroad.polaris.com/en-us/artic ... -illinois/

A lot to choose from, we have a few months to decide.

Suggestions????

How about Rush Springs in Pineville Mo. I myself have never been there....., sooooo all the more reason we should try it!!!! Okay that is not the only reason. I have talked to few people that have been there and they say it's a blast. Also a lot of big events are held there. Mostly because it is a great riding spot!

There's also a place in Illinois called Ruffcorn Farms. No facilities other than porta-potties, but they previously said we could camp there.

Harpoles looks nice, and it's decent size, would need to see if they are open to us less-than-sofisticated campers.

Illinois sites seem flat.
how about this... Google off road park near Rolla MO.
I am looking at the Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch, LLC

then I saw Hooter Holler... might have to be a member... checking it out.

but a few more to consider... we are trying to gain more buggy riders so keep that in mind.

We (Buggy news) were actually invited to SMORR by the owner a few years ago. They cater to dirt bikes, and atv's more so than SxS , or at least they did. Also pretty rocky except on the fire roads. If most are willing to travel that far,go another hour south and hit Rush springs, just sayin!

I looked at Heartland lodge... I dont know. Look at the Google satellite map of the area... this seems like dirt roads and very flat.
Just for comparison, look at St. Joe and compare.

Turkey Bay in April may be a good choice again. Would like to do something different though. However, it does offer a lot of choices.

Tennesse is an extremely long haul for a lot of us... 7 hours for me, Kansas City... is 10 or 11... Elburn... google map tells you to fly. quad city is 10 hours.

thoughts on this... it is in Rolla, need to find out more.

might knock out some guys but the buggies should still work.

"These trails are located within the rugged river breaks of the West Fork of the Black River. The segmented trails are accessed via county roads and Forest Service system roads, and total approximately 45 miles. There are varying levels of difficulty over each segment, following forested ridge tops and crossing deep hollows. State regulations apply on all vehicles using public roads. Trail use permits are required and are for ATVs, UTVs and motorcycles only. No ATVs, UTVs or equipment greater than 50 inches in width are permitted on trails."

Well since this is your ride, you should probably pick a place that will accept all types of riders that might have Rigs, rides,Bikes, or buggies that may or may not exceed 50 inch widths. Like oh I don't know ... maybe a Hammerhead 150 that is 52 inches wide at the front wheels!!!!!!!!

Here is a little tip for finding a good place to ride.. Check OHV riding areas.

Hmmm. I am just throwing ideas out there.
Trying to find a more Central location... Rush Springs might be a little too far.
Sites around Rolla might be a little too far as well.

as of now, Turkey bay... in Mid April... everyone check their calanders and lets pick a weekend that works. I will keep looking for a different place though.

here is one to consider... might be a haul for Tn riders but closer for the riders near KC, Illinois and Quad city riders.

Anyone who is 2 or less hours away from Turkey Bay should be all in!!!!! Why the heck not? I myself ..... not at all in for a weekend ride there , since I am 9 hours away!!!!!!
For me that would be a week long ride. So.......... Rick you need to find something that is centrally located for the 12 people that will show up!

So for me it would be .. Missouri ,Illinois, Arkansas,Iowa, Nebraska, oh yeah ,and of course Kansas!

https://pruittmountain.com/

roughly 5 hrs from KC
roughly 4.5 from TN
5.5 hours from Dickson TN
6.5 hrs from Elburn
5.5 from quad city

Might be a good possibility.

I will keep looking...
