Last change and im going in. My rear tire selection was 23x10x10 due to I wanted a bit more top speed, but not go up to 24's, so I chose 23's. That keeps me on the Mud Lights.
I am thinking now the Holeshot XCR or Holeshot XCT in 22x11x10 is a better tire for me and it still will be a tad over my so called 22" stock.
I am not sure if XCT or XCR is better for rear wheel?
A 22x11x10 Tire mounted on a T-9 Series 10x8 rim is still fine right?
I would think there is lots of room for sidewall overhang with our back wheels for sure, unlike the front. The 11" in the 22x11x10 wont hurt me will it ?

I am not a fan of the review all posts for instructions. I thought I read everything I could on the subjuct, and asked for help 100 times. I think I just need to wait for a direct answer so it dosen't cost so much money!
Have you read anything I have written? Front tires are not "square profile" and are always skinnier than rears. If the dealer you ordered from won't cancel the order, and you called back on the same day, something is up. This is pretty basic stuff and any dealer should know what size wheels to order and what type tires to recommend. I don't want to sound harsh but you seem to think no-one is helping you, but when you look at the thread, everyone is.
I posted this right after you asked for help:

everything is way off.
you want 10x5 front rims in a 110 bolt pattern & ?(whatever width and dia. you want) x 137 rear bolt pattern
just (carefully) re-read my post on wheels
you cannot get away with running such large tires in front and the rear is not a 115 or 117
measure your rear bolt pattern from furthest bolt to furthest, (diagonally) this should be a little larger than 5.375" center to center. or just buy a metric ruler!

also, I wouldn't run mudlites on a buggy, you need it to slide, useless on front also and very heavy compared to sport tire like holeshots.
Well Kelly actually I was expecting you to step up a bit being the dude who went through it already. Your text at your strongest point was 'i think it was some oddball 137 or something' and I kept saying I had to know for sure. You never told me you did know for sure. You never answered the new thred about how I cant believe this isn't common knowlede on bolt pattern. How it was the secret bolt code. We were looking for a hero and it never happened. Ill read more of your text, and you read more of mine. I did ask the direct question about Dirt Light and having other favorites and nothing. Me and most of the board feel like we are going through this for the first time. After I messed up you were right in there telling me how i messed up quick. odd? You have the Yerf Dog head but when I looked at it, it was a bed idea and a waste of money. When I started loking at tire upgrade like you did, you told me I should have been looking at sprockets to save money. I think your one of the smartest guys here, I just could have used more before the buy, and less afterward i guess. No hard feelings but I guess we let each other down?

I have to say if you just "revived" the old threads by posting questions to them instead of starting the new topic you could have gotten more noticed by those that took part in the older thread (some people likely selected to be notified by e-mail when a reply occurs to that old thread)
Not only that, but all the info was here if you read slowly and carefully. Kelly is definately not at fault here. He is one helpful dude!
Tire and rim choice can be a little complex if you are brand new at it. Best to take it slow and easy to not screw up too badly the first time.

I am back, the entire first order was wrong. I had 4 x the amount of lug nuts and rubber boots too.
The Honda Manager told me if I wanted my rims to match I could not get them in the T-9 Series in both 10x5 2+3 4/110, and 10x8 2+5 4/137
I had to step down to the regular ITP spun steel wich came in both rim sizes. This type of rim does not use the taper in the lug nutt go my flat stock lug nuts should work fine. No need for the ITP boot's eather with this type of rim.
REAR: RIM'S - TR TIR STL WHL 10X8 3+5 4/137 $51.69 X 2 = $103.38 part#370844 TIRES - TR ACC HOLESHOT XCT 22x11x10 $107.41 X 2 =$214.82 part#370975
He did want to stay firm on the restock fee, so I tod him I was going to the Iron Pony for the entire order now. He had a change of heart and we decided for me to pay $50 bucks was a compromise. I still got back $104.00 cash back.
I am not sure why the rear rims start with 'TR TIR' and the other items start with TR 'ACC' ?
I hope I dont have another boo boo on my hands?

This is how it started: O.K. I think I am ready to take on the new tire replacement thing. I did do a search on bolt AND pattern and it looks like we all have 110 on the front. Some have 110 on the back too, but some have 137 on the rear. If you want Yamaha hubs on the back you should look for Warrior, Banshee, and Raptor rims. If you get ITP C Series rims I dont think you have to worry about the front for sure, but it is a little fuzzy if ITP fit the back? I am not sure where that puts me at in my Talon if I need to just go ITP and not have to worry, or go Yamaha and figure out if I am a 110 or a 137 on the rear?
If you go 22" in the front, you might have rubbage on the frame so I am going with 21's. On the back I guess I will go up 1" size also to be consistent from the stock measurement of 22" to a honest 23" if they come in 23"?
Why are most guys getting skinner tires? Is it just a lighter weight thing? I am thinking we will loose allot of traction. I am having a hard time deciding how wide to get my replacements? Any thoughts guy's? ___________________________________________________________
This was what I was hoping for from another member who had been through it before:
Glad you asked!!! Any 2004 twister Hammerhead or Carter Brothers Talon can be done this way.
First you have to know your bolt pattern which can be a real pain finding out. We already have established your Front is a 110mm Bolt Pattern, and your Rear is 137mm Bolt Pattern. This information is used in selecting your rims.
Selecting your rims should be done in this way: You need a style you like and that come in: For your FRONT: 10X5 with a 4/110 bolt pattern and probably a 2+3 offset. For your REAR: 10x8 with a 4/137 bolt pattern and probably a 3+5 offset.
I know for a fact that ITP make a matching set in the brushed steel rim's.
I see you already know your desired tire size.... great!! For your FRONT: your tire should be a 21x7x10 like the holeshot 6-ply XCR For your BACK: your tire should be a 22x11x10 or a 23x10x10.
A good rule to remember is your tire should be wider than your rim on offroad vehicles to protect it's rim.
Buggy On and enjoy your new tires!! _______________________________________________________
Thats more along the lines of what I thought I needed. I dont want to say it is anybodys fault. I paid for the $50 dollar lesson, I just don't think we should be so quick to reccomend reading all posts from any individual. I could be wrong but I felt like at least 1 active member could have spit all that information out from my very first post? Mabey not but I was feeling like I was discovering rear bolt patterns and such for the first time along with most of the people who partisipated in the thread. I did read 16 pages of posts and never found the information given so well as above.
again ... sorry

you assume I read all posts, I do not. I replied to this post after you ask a question, the question being, should I cancel my order. My reply:
YES
did I tell you that you messed up?, no, I simply answered your question.
I don't see the problem, and don't know what you are talking about when you mention who's fault it is? Did I order the wheels? Did I advise you to buy anything? Is it my responsibility to read and answer all posts?
I did not read your other post you are referring to, and don't think it is my responsibility to.
There must have been 10 different posts about needing to go and measure your bolt pattern. You choose to ask everyone else for an explanation on your bolt pattern.Instead of taking the 5 minutes to walk over with a ruler and find out. You say your not a fan of rereading posts but if you did you would find out you were told tire sizes at least half a dozen times, and rims a half a dozen more. Bash me if you want, you were ignorant in your response to KELL so I am done with this tire issue. You just don't seem to want to read what we tell you or at least remember it.GOOD LUCK and BUGGY ON

It is saying enough that people looking for answers need to be willing to do the research. The members here can't be responsible for someone not willing to do all the reading required. We have all the answers here... just learn to use the search button and find them. Replying to the older posts if you have a question that needs to be cleared up will be a lot more helpful as it will remind all of us what was already posted on here. And that will help us help you make the correct decisions. It's the reason why these forums are so cool. Once we have one or two threads on a particular subject we don't need to open up another similar thread unless there is new and very different information on that topic... we just move on to new topics.

Don't turn on me guy's. I know everbody was telling me to go measure. I just dont know why sombody just didn't tell me for sure it was a 137. I didn't trust my ability to get the measurement right, and would have rather just got the fact that they are 137 and not have to worry on a $600.00 purchas, that I was 1 mm off. You can understand that can't you? Kelly I thought you did see the monster thread going about the tire bolt pattern questions. Guess I was wrong. I don't think james or anybody else made me buy them....
Kelly the only reason I even braught the word 'fault' up is responding to Hopster post of "Kelly is definately not at fault here. He is one helpful dude! " That is why I was saying I did not think anybody was at fault. Just me!!
Actually James I think helped me the most.
I was glad for everybody's help.
I guess I just got mad when Kelly wrote "Have you read anything I have written?" I did go through it all and even posted some of it in quotes. It was insulting to me. In my mind, he drew first blood so I wanted to respond back. I never intended for anybody else to be offended by it.
I just want to let it drop.

Partially because I would worry that somehow one of the buggys might have an oddball hub size... it should't happen, but in the automobile world, for example, strange stuff does occur on half year models, etc. We can tell you what is on ours... but we have no idea for certain what may be in your garage. See what I mean?
Kelly is one of your best sources for info though, as his buggy is essentially yours... you both are 2004s... so read everything he has written and memorize... it all applies to you as well.

My abrasive comment was borne out of frustration by everyone bending over backwards to help you and you still say you weren't reading everything and continued to ask what seemed like the same questions. The question on 137 was settled in my first post, and practically everything else was covered when I said to go and carefully re-read the wheel and tire upgrade post. also, FYI I am not here on weekends or after work so I hadn't read your other post.
for being insulting I apologize, I didn't realize it until I re-read it from your perspective,
I guess I was giving you a little "nudge" as we circled the track, kell
