Post subject:  Sahara 150 pipe question???

I have a Sahara 150, I want to get the hp pack from eastside $329. I ordered it 2 weeks ago along with their new cam. Still not in stock yet, they keep saying tomorrow, tomorrow, ect...
My question is if I do a redneck mod (open up the exaust, re-jet, and put on a uni-filter) how much differant will it be from the eastside kit? I was told that this mod will give you about a 22% increase in bottom end, what will the eastside pipe increase it by?? I am debating weather or not to cancal my order for the hp kit and just get the cam.
Has anyone tried the new cam yet?
Can some help me out here??

The redneck mod might accomplish the same thing as the eastside kit, I'd guess. I have some of their kits and they are made well. The appearance is also improved with their kit. The redneck mod wouldn't look as well, but it would be cheaper.

I have no idea about the cam. Let us know please.

Hi,

I don't know if this is the guy I spoke to, but I definatly see more increase from the pipe then iI do from the home mod. Although the home mod id quite a difference. If I had to put numbers to it I would say 27-30% from the pipe and 20-23% from cutting the pipe.... this is an estimate of course but having tried both I would say try the home mod and if it isn't enough with the uni, rejet and cut, buy just the Pipe. still saves you a bit.

or consider that 60-70 dollar 2005 Twister pipe out there and let us know.

:)

It looks nice, anyhow.... would be cool if it was a real performer as well.

I still might have to try one for the heck of it.
