This might be a stupid idea but I was thinking about getting new rear hubs for 250ss. The problem I have is that I have some nice barely used tires for the rear-mounted on 8-inch rims with a 4x110 bolt pattern. The problem is that I can't fit an adapter inside the rim because it too tight. I was wondering if it would work to buy some 23 spline 4x110 rear hubs and use those instead? I don't want to grind down the splines on my axle and need to replace that because it will likely cost a lot more than buying new tires for my stock rims.

A hub like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/373471057681?c ... qnEALw_wcB

I doubt the brake calipers will clear 8" rims unless you use a crazy offset with spacers. The brakes need a 10" rim or larger.

I think my plan will be to keep the rims I have right now and buy some new tires to install on the rim
