Passed a thrift shop not far from home this morning and spotted a lovely :D creation sitting outside of it. Looked like a talon or hammerhead with a gixxer engine outback followed by a quad swingarm. I swear this thing was built or shown on the forums. Black, big craftsman open end wrench for a shift handle, bike tank behind the roll cage and a pair of red painted bike pipes coming darn near straight up out of the back end. really long and scary looking, stock strut front end with stock small tires up front--totally worn out ... wish i'd gotten a picture ....

Prolly wanted 3k for it.

I stopped to look at a cobbled together mess last week and they though it was made of gold. Personally I wouldn't put somebody I hated on that POS. I really just wanted the engine (400 honda) but the thing was so bad you had to add oil and check the gas. They kept going on and on about it and finally told me a price of 3K. I laughed at them and got back in the truck. For not much more I can buy a good running complete 400ex and chop it up. It did have nice tires but that was about it.

750 is the selling price, I have NO interest in another project and its layout is impractical but for doing donuts and ripping around on pavement or flat dirt. engine might also be a from ninja. Couldn't really tell from the quick look i gave it. With the wrench shifter, red pipes and overall layout, I know i saw this thing online somewhere.

Most of what I've looked at that was frankened was built by kids and they only care about popping wheelies, smoking tires, or top speed. Most are such poorly designed I wouldn't be surprised if the steering didn't even work.

The well built ones seem to stay with the family or are gone within seconds.

I'm sure one day the unicorn is gonna get away but I'm to the point I don't even bother looking at home built or engine swapped buggys around here. I'm tired of showing up and somebody expect me to pay them to haul their trash off.

The thing is no one wants to pay for a good conversion. I talked to guy yesterday on facebook that had one of the coolest single seat IRS rear end Chinese buggies that I have seen He wanted to put a bigger engine in. He thought he could get it converted for a cheap price. It had a open diff reversing box like SunL and Roketa have. When I told him it would end up busting the diff with a higher hp engine I really don't think he believed me.

Yea, Chinese Buggies really can't handle getting a higher HP engine. Especially when the buggy is cheap or have cheap parts.
